The mission of the Douglas County School District Adult Education Program is to provide educational opportunities for adults to grow and learn in a low-stress, non-judgemental, and supportive environment as they pursue their career and/or college goals.

Our Adult Education Program is a free program for Douglas County residents. This initiative is designed to provide a second chance for those who have not completed their high school education, offering a pathway to earning a diploma and opening doors to better career prospects. Why Choose Our Adult Education Program?

Each year, some students are unable to complete their high school education. The circumstances behind this vary widely for each individual. However, lacking a high school diploma significantly restricts their career opportunities.

  1. Completely Free: There are no tuition fees or hidden costs. We are committed to removing financial barriers to education, ensuring that every resident has the opportunity to learn and grow.
  2. Diverse Course Offerings: Whether you're looking to complete your high school diploma or prepare for the HiSET test, our program has something for everyone.
  3. Flexible Scheduling: We understand that life is busy. Our courses are designed with flexibility in mind, offering both in-person and online options to fit your schedule.
  4. Supportive Learning Environment: Our dedicated instructors and staff are here to support you every step of the way. From personalized guidance to a welcoming community of learners, you'll find the encouragement you need to succeed.
