SkillsUSA Conferences and Competitions

DHS Career & Technical Education Students are actively involved in SkillsUSA conferences and competitions.
These events are a platform for students and industry experts to showcase their skills, creativity, and commitment to excellence. Students from DHS participate in regional SkillsUSA events with the aim of qualifying for the Nevada Association of SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference. Success at the state level allows them to advance to the national SkillsUSA Championships.
Recently, on February 3, 2024, two DHS Welding students, Bodhi Humphreys and Aiden Martinez, competed at the SkillsUSA Welding Regional Qualifier held at TMCC Edison. Both students demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill, earning congratulations for their achievements.
