SES's 3rd Graders Shine in Animal Report Showcase
Hailey Sebahar

Last week, SES's 3rd graders wowed parents and peers with their animal reports, showcasing their mastery of 3rd-grade writing standards.

The comprehensive project required students to choose an animal, create a 5-paragraph essay, a poetic piece, illustrate the lifecycle, and map out the creature's habitat. From researching their animal to organizing outlines and rough drafts, students honed their writing skills throughout the process. The highlight of the event was seeing the students dressed up as their chosen animals with fun fact notecards that they presented to the public.

The students delved into the scientific aspect by exploring and illustrating their animals' lifecycles. Additionally, they showcased geographical knowledge by mapping out their creatures' habitats.

The presentations reflected not only academic achievement but also a passion for learning and effective communication.
