The Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free support to children battling cancer and their families, was celebrated in a special assembly at MES. This event recognized the hard work of MES's 4th graders and the impact of their contributions.

With their hot chocolate fundraiser, MES's 4th graders warmed hearts and cups, raising $871.10 for the Northern Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation. Their stands offered a creative twist on traditional hot chocolate, with options ranging from the standard $1 cup to deluxe versions garnished with cookies, whipped cream, and other sweets. A group of 4th graders drew inspiration from "The Polar Express," wearing pajamas and playing the movie's soundtrack, creating an enchanting experience for everyone who stopped by.

This two-week project of planning, advertising, and teamwork demonstrated that even the youngest among us can make a significant difference.
