at the recent Spotlight Awards and Auction in Reno, where PBS Reno welcomed over 550 guests last Friday.

Jennifer Combs-Rollings is a first-grade teacher at Jacks Valley Elementary School. She is a kind, energetic, amazing soul who deserves to be recognized. She goes above the students all the time, while doing so much for her colleagues and family as well. She set up a free event for families to get free items for whatever they may need like clothes, shoes, household items, etc. In her classroom, she would do anything for her family, find them resources, make learning fun, and get to know her families [in order] to give a personal touch and make her classroom a family.

"I think it's really important for young learners to come to school and love what they do. I like to teach kindness too. They are just so precious and they're sponges. They love learning and talking and communicating with you. At the end of the year you can just see their growth." - Jennifer Combs-Rollings
