The Douglas High Girls Varsity Cross-Country team has been on a roll this season, capturing victories at four major invitationals:

- North Tahoe Madman Mills Invitational

- Battle of the Rattle

- The Lazy 5 Invitational

- ASICS Clovis Invitational in Fresno, California

Their latest win at Clovis was a major achievement. “There were 22 teams in their race on Saturday, and every runner achieved a personal record,” said Coach Maggie Vieira. “In a close finish, we tied with Sacred Heart from San Francisco, and the win came down to our sixth runner, Freshman Taylor C., who secured the victory by passing three runners in the final stretch and earning Douglas first place by three points!”

The team includes Ayla N. (Team Captain), Lucy N., Amy V., Logan A., Krystle D., Taylor C., and Kira N. “This group has worked incredibly hard, and I’m excited to see their achievements being recognized,” added Vieira.

Congratulations to the Cross-Country Varsity team for their dedication and success this season!
