The Douglas High School spirit team recently was recognized for earning a very prestigious award. The NIAA has announced that the DHS Tigers are the Academic State Champions for the fall season! This means that as a team, they earned the highest grade point average in the 5A division. Further, their team GPA was the highest in the state, regardless of division!

The DHS spirit team achieved a team GPA for the fall season of an unbelievable 3.97! The NIAA and Douglas High consider the State Academic Championship award as equal to the Athletic Championship because they believe that the participants are students first, then athletes.

Congratulations again to our 2024-2025 Cheer Team for being named the 2024-2025 Fall Spirit State Academic Team Champions.
