Minden, Nevada - Douglas County School District is excited to announce the appointment of Daniel Senger as the new Dean of Students and Athletic Director for Douglas High School. With 15 years of educational experience behind him, Daniel returns to his alma mater to contribute to the community that significantly shaped his personal and professional life.
Daniel spent the last ten years at Lyon County School District’s Silver Stage High School, where he held multiple leadership roles, including PE/Health teacher, head coach for football and baseball, and Athletic Director. His extensive involvement in sports and student development has equipped him well for his new role at Douglas High School.
A 2004 graduate of Douglas High School, Daniel was a committed athlete in football and track, and his outstanding contributions to the football team earned him a place in the Douglas High School Football Hall of Fame in 2019. His passion for education was inspired by the meaningful connections he formed with his teachers and coaches during his time at Douglas High School.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a focus on Social Studies from the University of Nevada-Reno and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University. He is endorsed in Health, Special Education, PE, and Alternative Education.
Daniel joins his wife, Rosemarie, on the Douglas County School District staff, and currently has two daughters attending school in the district. His youngest daughter will begin Kindergarten in the upcoming school year. Daniel is eager to raise his family in the Carson Valley—a community he deeply values. As he steps into his new role, he is enthusiastic about working alongside the exceptional staff at Douglas High School and reconnecting with the community that has played a significant role in his life.
