CVMS Principal Announcement for 2025–26 School Year

We’re excited to share that Greg Thetford will be stepping in as the new Principal of Carson Valley Middle School starting in the 2025–26 school year.
With over 20 years of experience in education and more than a decade in administrative roles, Greg brings a thoughtful, student-centered approach to leadership. He currently serves as Assistant Principal at Eagle Valley Middle School in the Carson City School District and previously held leadership roles at Douglas High School and in Arkansas, including six years as a principal.
Greg’s experience and leadership style will be a strong fit for CVMS, and we’re glad to welcome him back to Douglas County.
