Please do not submit an Online Registration (OLR) application through Infinite Campus for Nevada Ready.
Applications will remain open for two weeks, closes on Friday, June 5th at 11:59.

Please Note: Space is limited at each school site.

Applications will be prioritized based on Nevada Ready! Pre-K eligibility criteria.
If additional spots remain available, placement may then be determined by the date and time the completed application is received.

Coming to DCSD for the 2026-2027 School Year!

Douglas County School District is excited to offer Nevada Ready! Pre-Kindergarten at select elementary schools for the 2026-2027 school year.

The Nevada Ready! Pre-K Program is a full-day preschool offered at NO COST to families who qualify. This program is open to children who have turned age 4 by August 1^st of the current school year. Families must meet the eligibility requirements in order to qualify for enrollment.

Eligibility Requirements:

Children must be 4 years old on or before August 1, 2026 and meet at least one of the following eligibility requirements:

Additional qualifying factors may include:

• Household income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL)
• The child has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
• The child’s primary home language is not English
• The child is part of a vulnerable or historically underserved population, including:
• Living in foster care or with relative/fictive kin caregivers
• Having a parent or guardian who is incarcerated
• Experiencing homelessness
• Attending a home-zoned one or two-star school
• Having refugee or asylum status
• Living in a single-parent or single-guardian household

DTP/DT/DTAP: 4 doses are required. A 5th dose must be given if the 4th dose was administered before the 4th birthday.

IPV/Polio: 3 doses are required. A 4th dose must be given if the 3rd dose was administered before the 4th birthday.

MMR/Measles Mumps Rubella: 2 doses are required. Ideally, the 1st dose is after the 1st birthday and the 2nd dose is after the 4th birthday.

Hepatitis A: 2 doses are required and must follow the ACIP schedule.

Hepatitis B: 3 doses are required and must follow the ACIP schedule.

Varicella (Chicken Pox): 2 doses are required. Ideally, the 1st dose is after the 1st birthday and the 2nd dose is after the 4th birthday. If a child had a Varicella (chickenpox) diagnosis confirmed by a health care provider OR they have laboratory evidence of prior chickenpox disease, then it is not necessary to vaccinate regardless of age at the time of infection.

TDAP (Tetanus Diphtheria Pertussis): 1 dose is required for all students entering the 7th grade and all new students in grades 8-12.

MCV4 (Meningococcal Meningitis):

1 dose is required for all students entering the 7th grade and all new students in grades 8-12. As of June 30th of 2022 and thereafter, a 2nd dose is required for all students who received dose 1 before their 16th birthday.
As of June 30th of 2022, a 2nd dose of MCV4 is required for all students entering the 12th grade.
A 2nd dose of MCV4 is required for all students who received dose 1 before their 16th birthday.

Free Developmental Screenings

Developmental screenings for 4-year-olds will be available at Zephyr Cove Elementary School on June 2-3, 2026.

Screenings help identify possible delays in:
• Speech and language skills
• Cognitive skills
• Social and emotional development
• Fine and gross motor skills
• Adaptive and self-help skills
