Welcome to Nutrition Services!

Important to Know | 2024-2025 School Year

Annual Application Reminder: Remember, you must reapply each school year to continue receiving benefits. We are now accepting Free and Reduced Price Meal Applications for the 2024/2025 school year.

The Nutritional Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students’ health, well-being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Currently, breakfast, lunch and snacks are served and sold at our 12 school sites within Douglas County School District. We pride ourselves in that we have full kitchens onsite preparing fresh foods daily. This allows us to serve appetizing meals directly to our students in our elementary, middle and high schools.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. It is our focus and priority to provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

We encourage you to check us out and come eat with us!

Behind the Scenes: Meet Our SNP Team

Free & Reduced Meal Documents

SNP Charging Policy

DCSD does not allow charging for meals and snacks, except for a single charge for elementary students. Once a student has a negative balance, no further meals will be charged. We will not, however, let any child go hungry. If a student comes to school without a lunch from home, has no money to purchase a meal and is unable to contact a parent, a complimentary meal consisting of the fruits and vegetables of the day will be offered at no charge.

Meal Fund Donations

Angel Accounts are funded by donations at every school to purchase meals for students in need. We always accept donations, and as long as funds exist, they will be dedicated to feeding our students. To arrange a donation, please call the SNP office at 775-782-7613
