The DCSD Board of Trustees approved the adoption of the Pro-Clean methodology, as well as approved a new position for a Custodial Supervisor, to provide more consistency district-wide at the sites from the communication, supervision, and monetary aspects. This is the first milestone in implementing a new district-wide methodology in cleaning for the Custodial Department.

In an effort to make the cleaning of our sites more efficient and more economical, Business Services and the Buildings and Grounds Department began researching the Pro-Clean methodology used by Washoe County School District (WCSD).

This method provides a cleaning methodology in which a particular schedule is followed each day allowing the custodial staff to clean larger areas in less time. This program also streamlines the products used at each site so that all sites district-wide are using the same products, same dilutions and same methods in order to achieve the same results.
